Clash of the 2 Tonnes – Week 5 …..

Oh God, another week gone, these weeks are going WAY too quickly, I have a few naughty days and then I don’t feel I have enough time to redeem myself! It’s almost like there’s more than one weigh-in a week 😦 Well, let’s get on with it, what to say this week??? It must be getting boring for any of you still reading, praying that this week Faye will have lost some weight, to shut her up if nothing else!! It’s becoming a bit like “Battle of the 2 pounds”! it just ain’t shifting, don’t know what I’m expecting really, it’s not like I’ve been that good, again, shovelling food in regardless of how quickly or secretly you do it, isn’t the way to lose poundage 😦 I will sneak in quickly here that I lost nothing, nada….

From an exercise point of view though I have been pretty kick ass 🙂 not ready to get the diet must have, a dog, but I did buy a skipping rope last week, it has taken me a while to get into it, if I’m honest, probably because last time I did skipping was about 30 years ago when I didn’t have boobs to contend with! let me say at this point that a sports bra is a must-have for any adult female wishing to skip!  I was also, back then, considerably lighter and fitter! I do also remember as a child being counted in by my mates….” granny’s in the kitchen, doing a bit of knitting….”

I have also bought myself a Gym ball this week, not a very elegant piece of equipment, I have to say, I look far from ladylike rolling around on the floor with it but I can feel my stomach muscles being given a work out, so it’s all good 🙂  I have also been walking most days and hoola hooping in front of MTV – “Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me….”! You may laugh, but it won’t be long, the toned body beautiful will be mine….. Need to find time for a bit of Zumba fitness on Wii next week I’m thinking….

Wayne has been far too motivated for my liking, I would have bet money on him cheating by now, he highlights to me, every week, just how rubbish I am, seriously I’m well jel of his willpower! However, he did confess to a sneaky little glass of red wine whilst out with a client, naughty, naughty! which left him feeling slightly squiffy! not surprised really, what were we always told about drinking on an empty stomach?? I can forgive him for that though, not like he scoffed steak and chips is it? and trust me, the temptation was there in the form of his son’s birthday this week, taking a group of hungry teenage boys to a Harvester for a slap up meal, Wayne didn’t even nick a chip! Just sat there sipping his coffee, now THAT’s dedication!!  It paid off, another 5lb loss this week! his chest measurement is showing a 4″ loss, with 5″ off the belly and even 1″ off his neck measurement – Go Connors….!

Dee has managed to lose a pound this week, she has now lost a staggering 1 stone and 4lb since starting back in October, woop woop! I am in awe 🙂 again dedication! She can now get into her treasured Levi’s, OK, so she’s rolling around the floor, sucking in her stomach for all it’s worth  and getting her husband plus a coat hanger to assist with the zip, but, no matter, they’re on 🙂 She’s off on holiday next week for a week’s skiing so the diet will be well and truly out of the window, no amount of skiing will make up for the copious amounts of gluwein, steaming mugs of cream topped hot chocolate and cheese fondue that will be consumed, and nor should it, holidays are to be enjoyed not endured 🙂

Sally hasn’t had the best week either, lots of wine consumed over the weekend, Saturday was her friend’s 21st, a masquerade ball 🙂 the skinny black trousers were worn, albeit snuggly…! They never feel that tight at the start of the evening when you’re pulling in your stomach in front of the mirror, do they? It’s after a few bevvies, when the alcohol starts to take effect, your tummy starts to bloat and lets be honest  it becomes slightly tiresome trying to keep the belly held in whilst doing ‘The Macarena’! Hide behind the mask, that’s what it’s there for, I say 🙂 no-one need know that the woman with the muffin top is you??!!!! Returning home at 2.30 in the morning, a little worse for wear and with ‘the munchies’ cheese on toast was consumed 🙂  and as Sunday was Sally’s man’s birthday, the day continued with a full on fry up for breakfast, chocolate birthday cake, roast lamb and apple crumble, all washed down with a couple of bottles of wine, not your best week mate…. the girls haven’t been the best this week 😦

Connors is winning in the diet stakes (steaks? who mentioned food *drool*) what’s that all about? every woman has been on a diet at some point in their life, it’s part of our make up, our DNA, the diet gene is present in all of us! We should be experts, diet Guru’s! So, moving forward, us girls, we must try harder, we can’t be beaten by a BOY……!
